RECENT ACTIVITIES OF SGUS
In the month of July 2022, SGUS received a grant of Rs. 2,963,220/- (Two Million, Nine Hundred Sixty Three Thousand Two Hundred and Twenty only) from Help A Village Effort, (HAVE), Minden, CANADA – K0M2M0 for the purpose of installation of
- i) Ten (10)community Water Supply Wells,
- ii) Two (2) School Water Supply Wells,
iii) Six (06) High School and Three (03) Elementary School Water Filtration Plants.
So far total Five (5) community water supply wells have been installed in Dhanyashree, Barhbhagwanpur, Alipur, Jhatiari and Barhberia village,
Two (2) Water supply wells have been installed in Deshdut
tabarh and Tajpur High school, in Purba Medinipur Distrcit.
Moreover, five (5) water filtration plants in five different high schools namely Akandabari, Narayanchak, Gopimohanbarh, Sankarpur and Mobarakpur also one elementary school in Kalaberia & Anandamargi schools.
DIZ – Germany has extended a grant of Rs. 582,611/- for the purpose of the infrastructure development of our nursery school and eye care centre. Benches, tables, chairs and sports materials have been purchased for school and 10 steel beds, water filtration plant, autoclave machine, Keratometer etc.
Two Volunteers namely Ms. Clara Eva and Ms. Sabrina Poppei from Germany are now here at our organization to work as a volunteer. Clara will work in our Eye Care Centre from 11 months from October 2022 and Sabrina will work in our nursery school for six months from September 2022. We are grateful to DIZ – Germany to send them here under WELTWARTS programme. We have received an amount of Rs. 220,948.91 from DIZ – Germany for the purpose of the Boarding, Lodging and Travelling of the volunteers.
In November ROTARY CLUB OF HALIBURTON, CANADA has given an amount of Rs. 96,046=79 as a grant for the development of our Nursery School.
Biswajit Ghorai, the Secretary of SGUS recently visited Germany for 15 fifteen days to attend
WELTWARTS PARTNERS GLOBAL CONFERENCE in Berlin from 21st to 25th November 2022. DIZ-Germany and VJF – Germany under ministry of German Government sponsored this programme.
