Genesis
In 1986 a group of dedicated and energetic young people of Boalia village under Bhagwanpur – I block in Purba Medinipur district of West Bengal, established this organization namely Sarbik Gram Unnayan Sangha (total village development centre) in short SGUS. In 1986 Boalia village had no access to proper roads, electricity, hospital and schools that responding meager development. The non-availability of basic services was driving the village away from the main stream. The youth folk of Boalia village took initiative and as a mission they decided for the all-round development through this SGUS.
VISION
To establish a non-exploitative, peaceful, dynamic and just society based on universal brotherhood in harmony with nature through awareness and poverty alleviation programme.
